Turn it Around!

It was a disappointing setback Friday night for the Bearcats. I am sure no one is more disappointed then them. Well, now we get to see what they are made of. Character is forged through adversity. The Bearcats clearly have the talent, and when their mind is right and they play as a team, they can accomplish great things. (ie: Neville, Nat. Central).

So much of the game is mental. The right frame of mind will direct the body to accomplish what it needs to to win. However, the right frame of mind must be shared and exhibited uniformly throughout the team. Every member on the team has a role to play, whether they expect to see action on Friday night or not. Every member must contribute through out the week in practice and off the field doing what they can to get the team as a whole in the right frame of mind to win.

We only have to look a couple of seasons back, when the Bearcats early on were faced with similar adversity. That 2005 team dug deep...and turned around what could have been a dismal season and a program setback into a playoff berth. The 2005 season laid the ground work for the 2006 season to advance further and to return the Bearcats to former glory. Every member of this team today...witnessed the winning ways of the 2006 Bearcats...every member witnessed their never quit attitude...every member witnessed what can be accomplished when ones mind is right. (ie, Airline, Byrd, Mandeville, Fontenblieau games come to mind).

Games are won by teams which consist of similar minded individuals. Winning is the goal, but more so, we should play every game with the knowledge at the end, that we gave it our all, we left nothing on the field...we have no regrets. In years to come....don't look back and think could' da, would'da, should'da...... Resolve now....to hold nothing back....and give it your all. Everyone will respect a team...that has winning ways...even though they may not always win.

If you achieve the proper frame of mind...with your talent...winning will come.

"Seize the Moment" Guys...Be all you can be....and the Bearcat Nation will be with you...through it all.
